Metal Gear Solid REVIEW

pic_0018

As many people know, Metal Gear Solid was a superb release for the PS1 in the 1990’s. It was revolutionary; instead of blindly killing people, you took a different approach by hiding from them. Blend this game-play with an amazing story and you get Metal Gear Solid. Read the full review after the jump.

Amidst the ashes, the new site rises...

Okay! The site is now fully updated and fixed. All features are added properly and working 100%.

Here is a full list of the new features:
  • A search-bar
  • Custom "Previous", "Home" and "Next" buttons (now Newer, Older, and Home)
  • Fixed the slide-show (it was a picasa issue; from now on, all images are hosted on Photobucket)
  • Added the "Labels" box
  • Changed the color scheme of the blog from Orange/Blue/Dark Grey/ and other various colors. Now it is Yellow/Blue/Light Grey/Dark Grey.
  • Changed the template from "Picture Window" to a modified "Awesome Inc."
  • Added a new "Summary Box" that is in the style of the Shin Megami Tensei level up box (for game reviews only).
  • Grouped the PSP and Vita sections, as well as Anime and Manga.
  • Changed Favicon, my blog avatar, and the website banner.
Now, I am very pleased with the website. It has a more mature look to it and is much more simplistic and clean.

Major Updates On the Way...

At the current moment, I am unhappy with the current look of the site, so tomorrow/ Thursday, I will be changing the look of the blog as well as adding a few features. One feature I am rather excited about is the addition of a box at the bottom of each review that gives the reader a 'wrap up' of the review. In this wrap-up box, the reader will be able to see my opinion of the:
  • Graphics
  • Story
  • Sound/Voice
  • Re-playability
  • (and most importantly) Should you play it?
Expect to see these bars on each of my past and future reviews in the coming days.

In addition to the box, I will be changing the color scheme of the site, fixing the slide show on the home page, and introducing custom "Previous", "Next", and "Home" buttons.

So, if the website looks like a whole bunch of weirdness tomorrow, it is just because of some updates.

Paint Park REVIEW

The Playstation Vita is a hell of a device. It has a super-slick 5 inch OLED capacitive touch screen. Like Flipnote Studio and Picto-Chat were for the DS/DSi, "Paint Park" shows off the artistic capabilities of the device. Full review after the jump.

Moon REVIEW

Moon was an interesting experience for me... For $4.99 I got a shooter that had its ups and its downs. Find out more after the Jump.

Tetris for NES&GB REVIEW

C'mon. Everyone knows this game and has played it in some iteration.Whether on an iPod Touch, via Facebook, or on the Gameboy, Tetris is everywhere. Full Review after the jump.

Maruchan Beef Ramen REVIEW

Yes, for 75 cents, I had dinner tonight (well 50 cents, because the ramen was on sale). Money is tight these days, and I am hungry, so I bought five packs of ramen. This isn't my first time eating ramen, but my first review of ramen. The first of many...

極限脱出ADV 善人シボウデス 体験版 (Virtue's Last Reward Japanese Demo) REVIEW

I absolutely adore the game “999: 9 Hours, 9 Doors, 9 Persons” on the Nintendo DS. For a solid three to four months, 999 infested my brain and made me think. I actually learned from the game! That is a freaking concept! Learning from a serious game! I learned about the concept of Morphic Resonance, the crystallization of Glycerin, Ice-9, Hexadecimals, The Gigantic, and much more.

999: 9 Hours, 9 Doors, 9 Persons REVIEW

This game... I don't know where to start. It is amazing. Usually people will pass when it comes to text based games, but this game is different. Think a game like iSpy or Professor Layton but they got 20 years more mature.

Deadman Wonderland Anime REVIEW

There comes a time in every teenage boy's life where you wonder, “what would happen if some dude barged in here, killed all my classmates and then blamed me for it?”. Well, okay. So not every teenager thinks that. But Ganta Irigashi did. Rather it actually happened.
